Tartanware Perfume Casket 'Clan Stuart'.
Antique Victorian Clan Stuart Tartanware Casket.
Superb Scottish traditional tartanware perfume casket.
This is a very rare casket with a superb serpentine shape.
Scottish name tag in gold 'Clan Stuart' to front flap.
Dates to around the 1860's.
Leather hinges in great condition.
Lift up the lid to top to reveal a red lined storage area. It comes with a pair of original cut glass perfume bottles with stopper lids. They are both in super condition and very usable.
The top edge has intricate patterns in gold. There are four gold stamps to the body, two to the rear and two to the front.
Polish/varnish overall in superb condition with no major faults to point out.
Looks superb on display.
Great item for a collection or gift.
