A magnificent pair of tall antique Victorian Gothic high back chairs in lovely carved oak newly recovered in a soft dark brown fabric. The backs are extensively carved and the legs and front stretchers are all round turned in an eclectic 17th century manner typical of the high Victorian style. A very attractive pair of high quality statement chairs they are fairly sturdy and solid and have been newly recovered in lovely soft dark brown fabric and trimmed with braid. The upholstery underneath is in fair condition and fairly firm.

Oak.
Condition Report
Solid condition, wear and marks and old mends commensurate with age. Some splits to the upper sections of the front and backs of the chairs where they have been re-glued (see photos). Newly recovered in soft dark brown fabric over the existing upholstery which is in fair condition.
