This is a first class Victorian Frame of Museum quality in excellent condition.
The frame has its original gilding in super order, with a lovely antique colour and patina.
This has a really deep profile with fabulous raised shells set in the corners surrounded by pierced swept acanthus leaves and acanthus crests. The curved inner section is further decorated with flower and leaf detail and has a dentil and egg and dart design moulding.
A real superb example in such great condition.
The frame measures 71 cms by 62 cms overall and is 9 cms deep.
The viewing apperture is 50 cms by 41 cms and the opening to receive the painting is 45 cms by 37 cms.
