This is a stunning, very fine quality Persian carpet of substantial size which dates from the turn of the 20th century. It has a very attractive colour palette with a mid blue central medallion surrounded by an intricate scrolling design on a deep russet field. There are finely detailed peacock blue spandrels and repeating borders. The carpet has a little overall wear but is really in very good condition. It is a good room size, the measurements are 385 cm by 267 cm.
