Superb Quality Carved Regency Giltwood Mirror Carved Regency
In the distinct manner of William Thomas (c. 1792-1864) who held the Royal Warrant and was listed as a 'Carver & Gilder, Glass & Picture Frame Maker' at 17 Charlton Street, Fitzroy Square London in 1822 and 1823. Later in his career he undertook framing work for Queen Victoria, Queen Adelaide, the Duchess of Kent and for several leading artists.

The frame is in excellent condition and superb quality, beautifully carved and of lovely proportions. Traces of ochre paint and dating from around 1825.

Plate is later but is antiqued glass with a soft hue and good reflection and so looks like an original plate.

Extremely attractive and superb quality.

Dimensions are:

21 inches wide, 31 inches high and 4 inches deep.

For metric please multiply by 2.5

I describe and photograph my pieces accurately and with the aim that on arrival each will exceed expectations.

I operate a full refund guarantee and am always happy to give free, honest and friendly advice.
