Superb mid 18th century George ll, proper Sheffield plate two handled tankard of very typical early Georgian design. The large S scroll handles are nicely moulded and the decoration to the body is very nice. There are no initials engraved in the centre part which is good.

There is slight damage to the bottom of one of the handles otherwise this is in pretty good condition for its age especially when you consider it is nearly 300 years old.
