Superb Antique Jewellery & Perfume Box c.1890
One of the best of this type of box I have had, quite wonderful to have all four of the cut crystal perfume bottles intact and in excellent condition.
The box is made from Walnut, the domed lid having a brass mount in the centre for engraving by your local engraver if desired. The box comes complete with a working tasselled key and once opened reveals the original tufted silk lining, quite beautiful.
Once the lid opened, the doors swing open to reveal the four cut crystal perfume bottles. The two doors retain the original heavy and thick bevelled glass windows.
The top fitted tray has been professionally re-lined and includes a padded ring bank which will accommodate six to eight rings. The drawers have a combination of the original silk to the sides and the bottoms re-lined, all beautifully done creating a fresh and clean finish.
Dating to the late Victorian era, around 1890. Excellent condition measuring 10 1/2" x 8 1/4" x 10 1/2" tall.
