This is a super quality Victorian gilt and gesso frame with ornate detail intact in its original gilt finish. The substantial frame is a very practical size measuring 83 cms by 73 cms overall. The aperture is 53 cms by 43 cms. The opening at the back to receive the painting is 54 by 44 cms. If you were to remove the large gilt slip this would house a canvas measuring 61 cms by 51 cms.
