A really stylish and unusual box, originally a cigarette or cigar box but would equally make a wonderful desk-top tidy.

The box is made from English sterling silver, made from a good gauge of silver and stands on four bracket feet. The centre has a chunky handle and the curved lids are beautifully decorated with engine turning framed with a very elegant raised border.

The interior runs right the way through for longer cigars or pens etc. should you decide it to be a desk-top box..

The box is fully marked for Birmingham 1913 together with the makers mark for A E Poston & Co Ltd.

A most unusual box in excellent condition (a couple of minuscule dents, insignificant and mentioned purely for accuracy). 8" x 4 5/8" x 3 3/4" to top of handle.
