This is one of the most beautiful antique antique jewellery pieces I've seen for a while. It is a gold bar brooch featuring a butterfly set with diamonds, rubies, turquoise and pearls.
The wings display diamonds set in silver with ruby tips set in gold.
The insect also has small ruby eyes with turquoise head and seed pearls for its body.
The bar displays a turquoise either side which just adds to the overall quality of this unique item.

It dates back to around the Edwardian period and was probably custom made for someone at the time.

The brooch is in excellent condition. It has been cleaned and is ready to wear.

The gold has been tested but like many antique gold pieces it has no visible hallmarks.

Dimensions - Brooch measures 5cm. Butterfly 2.2cm

Weight - 3.8 grams
