A wonderful figural inkwell made from cast brass in the form of the most adorable Hare or Rabbit, beautifully executed and retaining his two original glass eyes.

Perhaps originally the property of a Games Keeper or Land Owner, the figure holds a rifle.

The head is hinged and lifts to reveal the original brass and glass ink chamber or liner.

Dating to around 1880, this gem is in excellent condition. The base diameter measures 3 3/4" and stands 6" tall.
