Steam Train Oil Paintings Barnstaple Junction
This is one of four different oil paintings on canvas signed by artist K.J.McCABE dated 2005 lower left.
The painting is being sold as without frame as this item looks fine to be hung as seen.
The option of adding a suitable frame is best left up to the buyer to choose what they prefer.
The scene depicts a young boy sitting on the platform leaning against a lamppost.
The location is shown as “ Barnstaple Junction “ and shows a wonderfully painted locomotive bearing engine number 34020.
The young lad has his notepaper in hand recording engine numbers as a train spotter and you can see another L.M.S.loco on the opposite side of the track with a burgundy carriage attached.
A wonderfully coloured sky with realistic plumes of smoke coming from the steam train funnels.
Great attention to detail and accuracy has been achieved in this historic looking scene from the
past depicting a period in time around the 1920-30’s.
