A handsome and very unusual figural inkwell in the form of a British Bulldog dressed with Sailor's attire including the cap and smoking a pipe.

Made from spelter, it is nicely painted. The lid lifts to reveal the removable ceramic ink chamber within.

English in origin and dating to c.1900. Excellent condition measuring 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 4 1/4" tall.
