Approximate dimensions: 3.5 inches x 8.5 inches, total 1666 grams.
The Down Home plate has some of the red paint rubbed. and the white writing has been repainted some time ago.
The paint on both has been rubbed away in place.
Southern Railway was formed in 1922 and then became part of British Rail when the railways were nationalised. These plates are probably mid 20th Century.
