South East & Chatham Railway Glass Carafe
SECR
South East & Chatham Railway
Glass Carafe
Holds about 3/4 pint up to the top of the bulbous part.
Approximate dimensions: height 7ins (18cm), weight 383.5 grams.
The SE&CR was a union between two rival companies, the South Eastern Railway (SER) and London, Chatham and Dover Railway (LC&DR), which operated between London and south-east England. Between 1899 and 1923, the SE&CR had a monopoly of railway services in Kent and to the main Channel ports for ferries to France and Belgium.
There is a mark on the glass which curves around the carafe from the SECR around to near to the base. I have tried to photo it. It does not show up well but it is on the photos.
Otherwise in very good condition with no chips or cracks.
Free P&P in UK. All our items include postage and packaging in the UK.
