An early 19th century portrait of a young woman dressed in a simple Regency-style high waisted grey satin evening gown, sitting elegantly with the red of the swagged curtain behind her mirroring the fine wrap she holds over her arm.
The painting is painted in oils on canvas and including gilt frame measures 74 cm (28 1/4ins) wide, by 84 cm (33 ins) high.
