An antique Chinese Canton Sandalwood antique jewellery casket. The fine quality high relief carving having figural panels with pagodas and trees and dates from the late 19th century. The carving continues on all 4 sides and the lid lifts to reveal a red velvet lined interior with original lift out tray.The box retains the brass hinges, lock and key. Condition - Very good, no damage and there are Chinese markings to the underside in pencil. Dimensions:- Height…5.1/8’’ / 13cm. Width…6.5’’/ 16.5cm. Depth…5.1/8’’/ 13cm.
