A charming small serving Tureen made from silver plate and spanning just 8 1/2" handle to handle and a rim diameter measuring 7" x 5 1/4". Decorated with raised beading and decorative engraving, the footed Tureen has a removable lid marked on the underside with the bell mark for William & George Sissons of Sheffield and dates to around 1880.

The underside of the base is also engraved with the London retailer "Goldsmiths' Alliance Limited, Cornhill, London" also marked 6oz.

Excellent condition and superb quality.
