Small 5 French Bisque Head Doll (Marked SFBJ) antique doll bisque doll bisque head
This sweet small antique doll is marked on the back of the head 'SFBJ 301 Paris', but we believe her to be a Unis child doll. She has a bisque head with painted eyes and facial features, and a joined composition body with painted boots. She retains what we believe to be her original costume and hat, which is sewn on and cannot be removed. We believe her to date from the 1920s.

Condition Overall good condition with some playwear consistent with age and use. There are no chips or cracks to the head. She is overall grubby with some wear to the paintwork. There is some glue residue around her head where her hat was stuck on. There is an area of loss to the composition on one leg (this may be a manufacturing flaw). Her clothing is grubby, worn and faded, and her silk apron is frayed.
