Superb large size tureen suitable for serving soups, stews, or even punch! Alternatively, remove the lid and it could be filled with ice and used as wine cooler or as a base for flower display. Great just to sit on the sideboard and use for general decoration.
The condition is very good. There are a very few light marks from careful use as would be expected on a mid 19th century item however I thoroughly recommend this if you are in the market for a large tureen. It is an exceptionally good one.

Measures approximately 16.5 inches, 42 cms across the handles and 11.5 inches, 29 cms to the top of the handle.

Backstamp or Mappin Bros 1848 to 1863. Weighs just under 3 kg before packing.
