Silver Plate Coffee Pot & Jug, Mappin & Webb 1930s Mappin Webb Coffee Pot %%alt5%% %%alt6%%
A very nice quality Mappin & Webb silver plated bachelor coffee pot and matching jug for hot milk or hot water. They are baluster shaped with a Deco style base and date from the 1930s. Mappin & Webb are probably the most famous of all English silver companies and have an enviable reputation for well made silver and silver plate.

The two items are in very good condition with no dings or dents, no plate loss and only minimal wear and tear, as is to be expected of items of this age and usage. The handles and finials are bakelite and so remain cool to the touch when the contents of the pot and jug are hot.

Both pieces are just shy of 18cm tall. The coffee pot is 15.5cm from spout to handle and the jug is 12.5cm from lip to handle. The coffee pot weighs 337g and the jug weighs 313g.

Both coffee pot and jug are marked Mappin & Webb on the base. Please make sure to view all the photographs.
