As pretty as they come, the handle of this petite magnifying glass is made from English sterling silver with a hallmark to the side of the handle, hard to read due to it's location but undoubtedly c.1920 and we can make out the makers initails for the silversmith, Henry Matthews.

Both sides of the handle has a beautiful yellow enamel panel showcasing the attractive engine turning below, all this surrounded by a decorative black enamel border with engraved silver decoration.

The glass itself is of course new (By Hilkinson), created a good magnification and without any damage. Perfect on the desk and small enough to take along with you. 5 1/4" in length and a glass diameter measuring 2".
