This is an attractive Elyse Ashe Lord signed limited edition hand coloured etching with lovely bold colours. The picture depicts a majestic heron in an interior setting adjacent to a Chinese girl in traditional costume knelt, painting in watercolours. Ashe Lord (1900-1971) painted oriental figures throughout her career as an artist and this is very much in her typical style. The picture has some foxing to the upper right side but is otherwise in excellent condition and is in its original decorative frame that compliments the work. This is numbered in pencil 19 of 100 to the lower left and signed in pencil to the right. This is a good size measuring 47 cms by 56 cms.
