A fine set of four of rosewood, Greek architectural columns.
They clearly show the wonderful original detail of the rosewood.
The capitols are in the Corinthian manor.
Corinthian is the most decorative of all Greeks orders.
(The other two orders being Dordic & Ionic)
The capitols as seen within the images display a historic bitumen finish (as seen on old antique paintings)
This chemical reaction may suggest that the capitols were decorated at one time.
They have a flat surface top & bottom on the rear where they have been fixed to a wall or antique furniture etc.

They have many potential uses. Either as architectural furniture embellishments or simply wall mounted decorative elements.

We estimate them to be 19th century
