Richard Dack has really caught the feel of a clear sunny autumnal day in East Anglia with the seagulls flying over a ploughed stubble field. This is a large work which really brings the feel of the countryside alive. He is usually associated with marine paintings and the sublties of light, however in this East Anglian landscape the light once again pays a most important part.

ARTIST INFORMATION.

Dack grew up in Suffolk and studied Camberwell School of Art, he was also a teacher of art in Cambridshire and later Devon. He has won several awards for his art including the Mariners Award for Modern Art and The Worshipful Company of Shipwrights Art Award at theRoyal Society of Marine Artists exhibition in 1998 and again in 2005.He has also won the 1999 Ariel Open Modern Art painting competition in Totnes.

Dack is a member of the Royal West of England Art Academy in Bristol, and Royal Society of Marine Artists. He currently lives in Suffolk and is the current Chairman of the East Anglian Group of Marine Artists and also Secretary of the Royal Society of Marine Artists.
