A GOOD SCOTTISH DUX MEDAL, MADRAS COLLEGE, ST ANDREWS, SCOTLAND c1927.
A very good and rare, Scottish Dux Medal. A Dux medal is awarded in Scotland to the pupil with the highest level of academic achievement in a class, subject or school.
This medal was awarded by the Madras College, St Andrews to Catherine Carstairs, Dux in Latin 1927-28.
The sterling silver medal has full English hallmarks the makers mark "V&S" for Vaughton & Sons, the Lion Passant sterling silver mark, the Birmingham town mark and date letter "C" for 1927/28.
