Rustic Flemish Carved Oak Gothic Hall Chair

1 of 6
An attractive antique church chair. We date this chair to the mid 19th century.
The chair sits on square section legs at the front and splayed square section legs at the rear.
The chair has a brown leather seat pad with stud detail and the backrest has an ornate gothic carved backrest. The top shelf is impressed with the initials ‘JB Dr Beer’.
The chair has a height of 38.5" (98cm) with a backrest height of 22.5" (58cm), an overall depth of 17" (43cm), a seat height of 15" (38cm), a seat width of 16" (40cm) and a seat depth of 13.5" (34cm).
This attractive chair remains in good solid condition with surface marks commensurate with age and usage. There is some wear to the leather seat pad and the base of the legs have some chips primarily to the rear legs.
This remains a very stylish and elegant chair. That is supportive to sit on and will continue to provide rest for many years to come.
