Fine late 19th century Russian bronze and enamel Icon, c1880. The frame is designed to fold and this was undoubtedly carried on travels by a priest/worshipper. The multi coloured enamel interior depicts traditional religious scenes and the enamel is bright ,vibrant and remarkably complete. The bronze casing has crosses to both panels and a hanging chain so the Icon could be hung and displayed. The bronze frame has taken on great colour/patina and again is in very good condition.
