Robert Tavener linocut print of Canterbury, Kent
This is a large Artist's Proof linocut of Canterbury with the Cathedral as the main focus by Robert Tavener RE (1920-2003). It is signed in pencil by the artist bottom right with the title 'Canterbury' in pencil bottom centre. Though not marked Artist's Proof or A/P we are confident it is such as it was acquired with another colourway version of Canterbury which is marked 'Artists Proof', both having come indirectly from Tavener's estate. The edition of this version was limited to just 30.
This image with its dark colours and blue accents suggests a moonlit night.
Dimensions:
Paper 72 x 57 cm
Image 62 x 48 cm
Condition: There are some handling marks on the margins which would be hidden if framed, otherwise it is in very good condition.
Postage & packing: £8 within the UK. Please contact us for a postal quote if you live overseas.
