A superb Regency mirror in a highly decorative giltwood and blue glass frame. The giltwood frame has an inner border in egg and dart and unusual panels of deep blue glass. These panels are divided by carved shield motifs, suggesting a heraldic them. The outer frame has floral and foliage carving. This is an exquisite antique oval mirror, the combination of giltwood and blue glass is superb and typical of the style, elegance and flare of REgency design in the early 19th Century.
