A Very Rare Stamped chair by the maker John Whitworth of Gamston a village close to the more well known chair making village of Rockley, John was a wheel right who probably learnt chair making in the workshop in Rockley his chairs are very similar to the Rockley chairs. this chair is a low back chair with a crinoline stretcher the seat is Elm, it is in excellent condition with a good colour and patina.
