Rare Transitional Primitive Welsh Armchair


An outstanding one of a kind early 19thC Welsh elm and ash primitive transitional armchair. With wonderful colour and deep patina with well figured timber throughout. Of huge proportions and in exceptional condition, featuring a single slab shaped elm seat of 2.5" thickness. Incorporating features from the traditional Welsh stick chair coupled with the best of early 19thC Windsor chair design this is a truly rare and special piece, unique.
