Rare set of three Georgian satirical dandy prints
A very unusual set of three Georgian prints satirising the dandy gentleman. The three prints are mounted side by side in a period birds eye maple frame, they seem to have been like this for some time. and possibly original. The prints show the dandy as he prepares for a night on the town. The prints are very clear and beautifully coloured and in very good condition. The works are very much in the style of Gilray and Cruikshank but the artist in not given only the publisher: J. Le Petit of Dublin. The frame has a wonderful original colour and patina and the whole has the most perfect period look. C.1800.
