A Super near pair of low back Windsor Chairs in Yew Wood with Elm seats and Ash back legs, both have crinoline stretchers. The condition is excellent with no loose joints , very good colour and patina one chair seat is stamped Fred Walker Rockley. Rockley is a tiny village on the old great north road just south of Retford in Nottinghamshire , it was a centre for Windsor chair making from 1828 until about 1870, Fred Walker being the principal chair maker for the last 30 years.
