This is a fabulous antique Georgian 800 silver pendant of French origin.

A very rare and amazing piece – this early example of sentimental antique jewellery in the shape of a heart would have been either presented as a token of love to the wearer or worn to commemorate a loved one.

The pendant is set with clear paste stones highlighting the green pear shape stone at the centre – just beautiful!
The central stone has a foiled back, typical of the period.

Marks multiple stamps of the boar’s head for silver purity and maker’s mark in a lozenge.

The pendant measures 4.5 cm long and 2 cm wide.
Weight 9.2 grams
