An absolutely fabulous antique tankard or cup, made from silver plate signed by the silversmith on the underside for "Field, 28 Cheapside, England".

This piece is lucky enough to have a Victorian English design registration diamond shaped lozenge for the date of August 30th 1875 these marks were reserved for special an noteworthy works of art.

Of course what makes this highly desirable and collectible is the handle in the form of a cat peering into the vessel, interior retains it's original gilding.

A wonderful piece in superb condition with a base diameter measuring 4 1/8", standing 5" tall to rim or 6" tall to top of cat handle.
