A rarely found Geo lll Silver Snuff Box in form of a Book.The Lid and Back is edged with Engraving and the centre Cartouche is Monogrammed.The Hinge of the Book is sectioned with small engravings between each section. Opens to reveal original Gilding which is still in reasonable condition.There are some old soldered restorations but has been done quite subtly.Full Hallmarks for Ldn 1795 by Geo.Smith & Thos.Hayter.Dimensions are 7 x 5 c 2cms and weighs 91 grammes. I am listed as a Private Dealer but some of my Stock can be viewed at The Antique Shop, 53, High Street Heathfield E.Sussex.If you wish, I am am able meet you there to discuss any items and also bring along any items which are not on Antiques Atlas but not displayed in the Shop.
