A tranquil moonlit Barbizon School painting by the landscape artist R T Stuart. Little is known about this artist although his work appears frequently at auction. French auction houses usually catalogue him as English. However, all of his work is local to France. The painting is presented in a magnificent Barbizon frame.

Condition.
There is a small canvas repair with associated over painting. There is a small repair in the centre of the painting. The frame has cracks on the edges, is age worn and has minor repairs.
