This is a fabulous pair of antique French Armchairs dating from around 1880. The chairs have gilt and gesso frames and the bright and quality gilding is in beautiful softly distressed condition. The armchairs are very sound with solid joints and have been recently reupholstered and covered in a charming good quality tulip design linen fabric. They have separate squab feather seat cushions and are very comfortable to sit in. Most decorative and quite a rare find as a pair, they would grace any sitting room.
The chairs measure 102 cms high, 73 cms wide and 67 cms deep. The seat is 46 cms in height, 60 cms wide and 55 deep.
