A rare and striking Primitive Oak and Elm Stick Chair c1800.  In beautiful condition with superb colour and surface.
An accommodating and comfortable adults chair with presence beyond its size.
Height 76cm. Seat Height 40cm. Seat width 46cm. Seat depth 32cm. Width Across Arms 59cm.

Featuring a heavy single slab seat of traditional style with deep chamfered underside.  Constructed from dense and heavy elm with oak sticks, elm arms and features rare and interesting pole lathe turned birchwood legs (these are the only historic replacements on this chair) surmounted by an original H stretcher arrangement. With nice black paint remnants to all original components this stunning chair has an incredibly sculptural look.
A rare and special chair in every aspect with the most beautiful grain.
