This lovely unsigned oil on canvas is a portrait of a young woman in the early part of the 20th century. The painting is C. 1930, and is surrounded by an earlier dated frame, C. 1890. The wood and gesso gilt frame is very deep and ornately detailed, with a matching gilt mount. It measures 34 ½ in – 87.6 cm wide, 39 ½ in – 100.3 cm high and 3 ¼ in – 8.2 cm in depth. This charming painting would make a fine addition to a wide range of rooms.
