Charming mid 19th.c. painting of a gentleman in oil on canvas dated 1857. A friendly looking young gent with a chinstrap beard painted in a slightly naive style, with lovely attention to the detail of his embroidered shirt front. Signed A. Loos and dated 1857 in red to the right of the sitter. Presented unframed in good condition, relaid onto a canvas stretcher.
