Large late 19th.c. porter’s type armchair c.1890. With the high back and deep shaped wings typical of the form, designed to protect the sitter from drafts. Roll-over arms and a sprung seat with loose feather seat cushion. Raised on short walnut feet and original brass and ceramic castors. Good condition, solid and sturdy with serviceable upholstery. The legs have been cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
