A very charming (and now scarce) early 20th Century (c.1920's) antique pine and elm egg transportation / delivery box or crate.

This lovely item has local interest to Worcester, with the destination of Hopton Court painted to the lid, along with the added note of 'Leigh Court Stn: GWR'

Leigh Court Station, a picturesque branch of the Great Western Railway (GWR) closed in 1964, but this lovely box is a rare survivor and a wonderful reminder of a bygone age....long before the advent of mass food production and the supermarket.

Very straight and original.

A 'first class' piece of social history / kitchenalia and a decorative addition to any vintage kitchen.
