Pastel on paper portrait of Joan Morecambe, wife of the late comedy genius Eric Morecambe O.B.E by Joe Muscare 1963 the portrait is signed and dated lower left

This painting came direct from Joan and Eric’s home ‘Brachefield’ in Harpenden.

It is a beautifully executed portrait, Joan, nee Bartlett, was a former beauty queen who was crowned Miss Margate and Miss Kent in 1951. She and Eric met when both were performing at the Edinburgh Empire.

paper - 50cm H x 39.5cm W
