Pair Of Victorian Mahogany Carved Open Armchairs
A very handsome pair of Victorian mahogany open armchairs. These chairs still have their original tapestry upholstery and as it is still in useable condition I have choose not to re upholster them. They have a spoon back with floral carved crest rail to top. The arms are carved and swept in design with stuff over covering.
The front lower seat rail has a serpentine shape with a carved flower to the centre. This rail joins to two carved swept cabriole legs terminating with original brass and lignum castors with brass bead collar. The back legs are also cabriole again with white china castors. All the upholstery is edged with brass stud. These are a good solid pairs of chairs and would look great either side of a glowing fire.
