Pair of Victorian Alabaster Stone Ewers
This pair of antique decorative ewers are made from what we believe to be alabaster. They both have deliberate holes in the bases, and may well have been part of something larger at some point. They are of nice quality with decorative handles with cherubs underneath. They have some type of animal near around the top, all of which have had their heads cut (deliberately) off at some point.
Condition: Overall in fair condition with some wear and damage consistent with age. They have some cracking and scratching in places and one has a repaired section at the bottom (this may have been done at the time of manufacture). There are some natural imperfections as might be expected. Each ewer has two animals at the top, all of which have had their heads cut (deliberately) off at some point. They are overall grubby.
The approx. measurements are as follows:
14cm high, 21cm long, 11cm wide. Further images are available. Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries. Viewing is welcome, but please contact us before travelling as we are only open by appointment.
We can arrange delivery of both smaller items and furniture - please contact us for details and a quote. Customers are also welcome to use their own couriers if preferred.
Payment can be made by PayPal, bank transfer, cheque [UK only], and cash on collection.
