Pair Of Spindle Back Chairs

Pair of ash & elm mid 19thc spindle back chairs, possibly from Shropshire or Staffordshire of good patina.
These chairs consist of a turned top rail between two supports each with a turned finnial to the top.
There are two further turned cross rails connected by the four spindles to form the back of the chair.
They each consist of a hard elm seat with a shaped frieze rail at the front.
The front legs are turned & tapered, leading down to a pad & ball foot.
There is also a turned, front stretcher & two plain side stretchers with a plain turned stretcher to the back.
These chairs are both of good, sound condition.
These chairs would probably be more suitable as hall chairs rather than dining chairs due to the hard wooden seats.
