Nicely matched pair late 19th.c. ash, elm and beech wood smoker’s bow type armchairs c.1880. Very slight differences in design and dimensions. Both with shaped elm backrests and bow arms with rounded terminals and turned spindles over generously proportioned single piece elm saddle seats. On good turned legs, set at a splayed angle for extra stability, joined with turned stretchers. Some old marks, generally excellent condition and lovely colour, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
