Circa 1880, pair of Queen Anne style walnut armchairs. The carved, shaped back with bergère work and inlaid splat with olives of yew wood, and shaped arms with scrolling supports. The drop-in seat pad with needlepoint over a shell carved shaped seat rail and slightly outswept rear legs on pad feet. The front legs with foliate carved quarter blocks, shell carved knees, swags and tails and ball and claw feet, connected by carved stretchers.
